Privacy policy

This website and the tools described below are operated by Epochal Tech (SSM CA0410853-K), a software studio in Malaysia. Questions about this policy or your data go to [email protected].

We do not set cookies ourselves. Visits are counted in two ways, neither of which identifies you:

• Plausible Analytics, a cookieless analytics service that reports aggregate figures such as page views and referring sites.
• Our own page-view counter on the home, pricing and services pages. Your browser sends only the page path; to estimate unique visitors, our server turns your IP address into a hash that changes daily and does not store the address itself. It does not run if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Like any website, the services that deliver it handle standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type: Netlify hosts the site, and Cloudflare sits in front of it to deliver and protect it. To filter automated traffic, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as __cf_bm).

We only receive what you choose to send through our forms:

• Contact form: your name, email, and optionally phone, company, the service you are interested in, and your message.
• Maintenance sign-up: your name, business name, email, and optionally phone, website address and a note.
• Project brief (portfolio page): a project name and brief.

All three forms go to our own automation server, which forwards each submission to our team as a Telegram message. We use these details only to reply to you and to carry out the work you ask about. We do not sell them or add you to mailing lists. The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, which handles that conversation under its own privacy policy.

Bedtime Story Automation is an internal tool we use to run our own YouTube channel. It uses YouTube API Services, so by using it you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google handles the data under the Google Privacy Policy. It signs in with Google and asks for one permission: read-only access to YouTube Analytics reports (yt-analytics.readonly).

• It reads performance figures for videos on our own channel: views, engaged views, average watch time, percentage watched, likes, comments and subscribers gained. These are totals per video, not information about individual viewers.
• It cannot upload, edit or delete anything, and it does not read other channels or other Google account data.
• The figures are stored on our own server and used only to decide which kinds of videos to make. They are not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used for advertising.
• They are kept while we run the channel, and deleted within 7 days if access is revoked or if you ask us to delete them.

Epochal Tech’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Access can be revoked at any time from your Google Account permissions.

We do not sell personal data. The services that handle it on our behalf are the ones named above: Netlify and Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), Plausible (visit counts), Telegram (enquiry notifications to our team) and Google (YouTube Analytics).

We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to respond and to keep ordinary business records. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the details you sent us by emailing [email protected], and we will reply within 24 hours on working days.

If what we collect changes, we update this page and the date at the top of it.
